A PLACE OF HONOR FOR YVES-GERARD ILLOUZ, M.D.

In 1977, the renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Yves-Gerard Illouz, invented the liposuction technique, revolutionizing fat reduction methods and creating a cosmetic surgical procedure that, today, remains the most widely practiced in the world. This highly respected leader just had his name immortalized as part of the inauguration of the Clinique Esthétique de Paris Spontini, held on Thursday, September 18, 2003.
At the inauguration, a plaque was hung on the clinic’s waiting room wall in the presence of numerous dignitaries of the medical world.

This was a high point in the exceptional career of this pioneer, who has contributed his expertise to this institution from 1975 to 1998, performing his first liposuctions during that period.
In 18 years, he has operated on hundreds of women, eliminating… 10 metric tons of fat.

Author of numerous publications, Dr. Illouz is considered the most prominent specialist in his field, hosting conferences all over the world. Today, he dedicates himself mainly to teaching and research.
